Some aspects of youth development in South Africa 1994 – 2017Past Publications

The World Bank recognises the potential of youth to become either a trigger for or a hindrance to economic and social development. The South African Government recognizes the problems facing the youths in South Africa. This study examined the progress made during the period 1994 – 2017 in the advancement of young people in South Africa in education and skills development, economic participation, and health utilising census and survey data as well as death registration records.
